The doctor's meet regularly to share knowledge gained from continuing education, discuss cases, and strategize about ways to provide the very best medical care to their patients and service to their clients. Dr. Dion Steenis was born and raised in San Diego, California. From a very young age she wanted to be a Veterinarian so she could care for small animals. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology from San Diego State University before attending Veterinary school at Western University of Health Sciences. She graduated with Phi Zeta honors. Her focus included internal medicine, neurology and dermatology. Through out her career Dr. Steenis has been able to work with multiple veterinary specialists in Southern California learning the newest diagnostics and therapies.
In her free time Dr. Steenis enjoys, horseback riding, snowboarding, reading and spending time with her family. She and her husband are expecting their first child and enjoy taking care of their two cats, Dave and Frankie and their three dogs, a special needs Chihuahua, Mouse, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Madison, and a Chihuahua Josie.
Dr. Katie Bennett is a Southern California native who completed her undergraduate education at the University of California, San Diego. She received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at Western University of Health Sciences in 2013. She was initiated into the Phi Zeta veterinary honor society in 2013.
Dr. Bennett has worked in the veterinary field for more than 10 years. She has always enjoyed small animal medicine because of the strong bond she is able to build with her patients and their loving families. She also enjoys pocket pets and exotic animal medicine as well.
In her free time she enjoys yoga, painting, the sand and surf, and spending time with her Golden Retriever, Koa and cat, Faith.
